Azzurro
Azzurro - was the big hit of 1968, composed by Paolo Conte but immortalized by Adriano Celentano. In his unmistakable way, he sang about the azure blue of the summer sky and the longing for a distant love. The song has often been reinterpreted, appropriately by the Azzurri, the Italian national soccer team, who sang it again after their 2006 World Cup victory in Germany. Azure, a color to dream of. This blue already fascinated the people of ancient Egypt in the form of lapis lazuli, and the coastal region of the Côte d'Azur got its name from it. Today it not only adorns the jerseys of the Squadra Azzurra, but also – as a nod to Italy – this bottle by Roberto Ugolini.
Azzurro – the fragrance
Azzuro introduces itself with a wonderful, fruity start. Where the inclined nose often encounters numerous citrus fruits, here it is only the tart glow of the grapefruit, followed by clear and delicious strawberry notes, which are accompanied by coconut and a fruity-spicy hint of pink pepper. At the center is a completely unpretentious rose, which restrainedly but firmly conducts the davana, reminiscent of dried fruit, and sour-cheerful black currant. It is also surrounded by a sparkling, luxurious champagne accent and an almost translucent, spring-like magnolia. Sensual amber and profound woody tones in the base as well as a fruity musk complete the composition.
Under the aegis of creative director Herbert Stricker, the perfumer duo Maurizio Cerizza and Cristian Calabrò created this masterpiece of perfumer's art. Azzurro - much more than just a song - a treat for the soul. Dedicated to the infinite blue of the sky.
