Maria Candida Gentile - Sideris
Sideris was born during a walk along a Mediterranean beach in Liguria (Italy) at night. The moment was so beautiful that one could feel like floating in the air, between the sea and the stars in the sky. It is purely poetic fragrance. Dedicated to the last night star “In The Morning You Always Come Back” a poem written by author Cesare Pavese.
Maria Candida: “In the morning you Always come back, star lost in the light of dawn - trill of the breeze - warmth, breath - the night is done - you are the light and morning.”, by Cesare Pavese - 20 march 1950. A poem dedicated to Cesare’s brief but doomed love affair with American Actress Constance Dowling.
The central note of Sideris is the cistus labdanum, a very Mediterranean essence. Together with myrtle they create a note very similar to the wild roses.
The prestigious woods enhance the aromatic herbs in the formula, and the benzoin creates a very rich base note.”
